The route starts from the Adriatic Sea in Rijeka (Croatia) over Postojna and the Karawanken Mountains (Slovenia) down to the Wörther See over the Red Bull Ring up to Salzburg Alps (Austria) to end in the alpine foothills of Bavaria in Munich (Germany). The total distance will be nearly 1500 km with daily legs varying from 150 to 350 km.
